Amanda and I's friends from college, Heather and Reed, just welcomed their second little girl, she was born August 9 at 11:16 am. She weighed 7 lbs 7 oz. and was 19" long. She is adoable and looks a lot like Reed. Her name is Morgan Olivia and she is healthy and happy. Grace and I went to the hospital yesterday to pay them a visit. It was weird being on the labor and delivery floor again. Last time I was there I had just had Grace and here I am walking down the hall with Grace walking next to me. A lot happens in a year. So if I thought it was time for the second one, the maternity ward slapped that emotion back into check. I could hear babies crying and see mothers who just gave birth...yeah I think we'll wait a little bit longer.
As Grace and I are leaving Reed walked us out to the car and he tells me they got a new car. I said, "Oh yeah that's great, what kind?" He looks at me and I
could tell by his face he had done the deed, they bought a minivan. Sweet jesus, times they are a changin'. He then proceeded to show mw all the "features" like Stow and Go seating, automatic slide door open, DVD players and enough cup holders to have a party for 40 in there. Now that I think about it one of those would have come in real handy in college. Before Reed finishes with the features I find myself wanting one. Dear God, did I really say that out loud?!
