The angel redeems herself...

(If the music doesn't play scroll to the bottom and try clicking the play button a couple of times, damn Musicjesus)

We returned from a two night stay at Pumpkin Lane on Thursday. I have to say I was a little nervous about this trip considering the issues we had with the last visit. Although Grace redeemed herself by sleeping all night BOTH nights. We finally broke down and bought a crib to have there. We decided that our little toddler has really grown out of her travel pack and play. Her crib looks so cute in her room. The best part is we don't have to set up and take down the pack and play anymore. Sweet! We did some work around the house and stayed indoors a lot since there has been the heat wave from hell 200 miles any direction. We the heat broke enough to breathe we took walks and we did make it down to Aunt Sue's for milkshakes (wow it really sounds like we are in the mountains when I think of some of the names for the businesses up there). Grace really enjoyed my peach milkshake. We did get by my parents to check out there new deck addition with hot tub. (I think they were a little jealous so they had to get one, he he). It is bigger than ours and from what they say they use it every night. Join the club! We made nightly use of ours while we were there...it's amazing what you end of talking about after a couple drinks in the hot tub. We had a plan to wake up the next morning at 5 am to watch the sunrise with coffee in the hot tub...sounded like a plan, until 5 am rolled around and we looked at each and rolled back over. We don't even get an E for effort.
Grace is not only walking now but actually running. I am exhausted! But I have to say there is not a word on this planet to explain how it feels to have your child run up to with their arms open and hug you. I swear I fall in love with her all over again every time. I will include a little video for you at the end of this post to give you an idea of what I am dealing with. We didn't see any wildlife except we could hear the coyote's at night.

We bought another baby pool to keep there and Grace splashed around everyday we were there. She is such a water baby. We came home on Thursday and Grace was on her best behavoir for the car ride. Since she turned a year and she is over 20 pounds we were able to turn her car seat face forward. She has really enjoyed being able to look at us while we are driving.
I also added Extra pictures here for your viewing pleasure.

So now we are home and things are back to normal. Well I call it normal....most people probably wouldn't.

What a wonderful get-away, miserable heat or not! Grace looks beautiful and I can almost see her change, post to post. I am delighted that the bear cabinet is in residence at Pumpkin Lane. What better place for bears than back in the woods?

Pumpkin Lane always welcomes any member of the King family. You will defintely be closer than you were in Klamath Falls. Don't be a stranger. :o)
