So the outer bands of Ernesto are here. We really need the rain but we don't need lightning strikes 50 feet from the house. I found myself wanting to click my heels and say, "There's no place like home, there's no place like home". We're definitely not in Kansas anymore, Toto. Seriously the storm was crazy! Thankfully this morning it is just rain...that's more like it.
Ernesto alsao ruined Neal's plans to paddle at the new US National Whitewater Park in Charlotte last night. I don't know if you have heard of this but it is the only one of it's kind in North America and will be used for the Olympic Training facility for whitewater. It also has moutian biking, rock climbing, hiking and even a BAR! There really should be more combinations like that! So Amanda when you come to visit we can duck tape you back in the kayak and send you down the rapids. Neal is uber excited about this new facility, I on the other hand know Neal will find a lot more reasons to go kayaking now, "But honey it's SO close, I can be back in just a few hours." Great..........
Imagine this with a lot of water running through it, they cut the water off 10 minutes before Neal got there :o(
In other news Grace is doing fine. She learned that if she wipes pudding on her face she can stick letters to it.

Crazy that you got grief from Ernesto and we didn't get more than a passing shower. As for Grace and her amazing discoveries... pudding faces and the alphabet is definitely my favorite to date. Genius I tell you!
She really is a genius isn't she!?
I'm glad I'm in Farmville and not Kilmarnock! Yikes! It's been steady rain here, but Kilmarnock was evacuated.
Love the alphabet face. Love it. I want more pictures so I can figure out what she's trying to spell. Kind of like hostages using blinking for communication.
If you notice it is the letter "N". I think she is trying to spell "No". She just started shaking her head back and forth when she doesn't want something. Great...
