What a way to wake up...

So this morning we hear Grace on the monitor making some noise. Not crying but more of a frustrated moan. So we lie in bed a minute and listen. Finally the curiostiy gets the best of me and we go in the nursery. Grace is on her knees looking over the side of the crib.
Dear God, next thing you know she'll be sneaking out of the house and stealing the car. Why you ask... because I did it and you know it's coming back ten fold. She now crawls room to room and trys to pull up on anything within reach. I am still waiting for the inevitable fall and screamingto follow. Wish me luck in Grace's mobile stage. Love to all!

Thinking out of the box

and that is exactly what I did last night. My friend Becca and I decided to take in a cultural event at Winthrop. But not just any cultural event... "The Vagina Monolouges". Now I had heard about this show for a while now and had heard mixed reviews about which included freaky, funny, off the wall, disturbing, enlightening. After seeing it for myself I would have to go with freaking hysterical (with some small serious moments). I have to say that in a couple of monolouges I felt like I was in the diner with Harry and Sally and her fake orgasm. Although one in paticular got a little out of hand when she began to beat her stool into the stage while yelling YES! YES! At this point Becca and I are in tears and I scanned the room to see other peoples reaction. The few guys who were brave enough to come to this show looked like they had just seen a ghost. I am not sure they really knew what they were in for. Probably just saw it as a place to maybe meet some girls and knock out a cultural event (since you have to have about 400 to graduate). Priceless. I recommend the show but be ready for bizarre stories. Amanda I recommend this one for. You would thoroughly appreciate it.

As for Grace, she is officially crawling. She went from the kitchen to the living room today in about 15 seconds. Dear lord...I am not ready for this.

Love to all!

Best thing in the world...

How sweet is this picture? I was cleaning up the kitchen and had not heard anything from Neal and Grace in a while so I went to see what they are up to. This is what I walk in to see. Grace asleep in Dad's arms. There is nothing better than seeing your husband love your children.

P.S. Amanda taught me how to add music so make sure to take a listen when you are visiting.

Watch out soccer moms...

So today Neal, Grace and I went to a HUGE kids consignment sale. For a stay at home mom this was better than any drug on the street. Poor Neal was trying to hold Grace AND all the clothes I was tossing at him all the while yelling, "This is only a dollar?! Sweet Jesus!" Some soccer moms in the corner were giving me the eye but I answered them with the Sicilian finger curse...what is this you ask...all I will say is Sophia from the Golden Girls. My friend Trish (in picture) was there and my partner in baby clothes addiction. She has a 1 1/2 year old and a 4 month old. Yeah you do the math, she got pregnant with her second kid when her first was only 4 months old. And you thought I was crazy! As you can see in the picture Grace took her first ride on a pony (she is practicing for the one Papa Joe is getting for her :o).
Now here is the damage from the sale. As you can see Grace is rolling in her treasures and can not wait to wear them. And how cute is this red and white toile outfit she is wearing. I really need to look into some baby modeling for this child...the world doesn't know what they are missing. Love to all.

Grace's big day out...

Oh how I love the first signs of spring. My daffodils and crocuses are blooming and it was 70 degrees today (although they are calling for ice on Sunday...only in the South). Grace and I went to the grocery store where Grace proceeded to flirt with the produce man. She really is a handful. As you can see in the picture that Grace has a cart buddy that keeps her very occupied while I shop. When Neal got done working we walked to the park near our house and played a couple rounds of frisbee golf (which I suck at by the way). Grace was our cutest cheerleader. When we got home we set up Grace' s playpen outside while I raked out the flowerbeds and Neal worked in the garage. Wonderful day...that's all I have to say about that. :o)

Happy Valentine's Day!

After seeing Amanda and Tiff's blog I felt the need to show the flowers from the man in my life, Neal. (By the way go Papa Joe on treating your daughters so well) We had a quiet dinner at home and talked about how happy we were to have the greatest gift eitheir of us had ever received, Grace. I hope everyone is well and loved. We miss you all and send you our love.

Snowstorm 2006...well kind of

Well Rock Hill finally saw some snow yesterday. It was a pathetic excuse for a snowstorm but around these parts it was very exciting. As you can see I drug Grace outside to try and get a picture of her in her "first" snow. I am not real sure you can even see the snowflakes falling but you get the idea. Notice Grace's new outfit from Gramma Joan. It's not pink!!! Blue and orange! Although someone at Wal-Mart yesterday mistook the blue top and called her a boy. I have learned to let this slide as it would not do any good to make the old man feel bad. Grace is secure in her femininity.
Notice in the picture with Grace is her black bear named "manda" that Aunt Amanda brought from Colorado to Grace on her last visit. What did Amanda bring me you ask, nothing...it was all for Grace. What a good aunt. :o)
As for me my back is still painful and not sure why. I went to a shady chiropractor here in town and Dr. Frank freaked me out so I have decided to give yoga a try. I hope I have better luck in the doggie down position than Amanda did. I will keep you posted. Love to all!

For your next mission should you choose to accept it...

Well the smartest baby in the world is now on a very serious mission to sit up. She has just figured out that the world is a much more interesting place while in the sitting position. Can you beleive she will be 7 months old this week. Everyone can go ahead and buy their plane tickets for her first birthday, it will be here before you know it. No excuses for not coming you have plenty of notice. :o) Sally I know that you will be there with bells on. Miss you all!
