Christmas will never be the same...

Well we had our first official "Stevenson Family Christmas". I must say it was one to remember. We got to enjoy it with all of our family. A lot of driving involved to do that but well worth the miles on the car and the screaming baby in the backseat. Even though Grace has absolutely no clue what was going on it was fun for us. We could have given her a paper towel tube and a cardboard box and she would have been just as happy but Neal and I so enjoyed taking a million pictures of her opening presents. Joan, Neal's mother, is in the hospital with a blood clot in her lungs. So please keep her in your thoughts and prayers and we will keep you updated. Love to all and Merry Christmas!

The pics are of Grace and us at my parent's and her Christmas outfit Gramma Joan got or her. The big smile is for "Bob the Bumblebee".

Ahh sweet Caramalized Colorado Pecan Pie....

This was the last piece of this world famous pie that Amanda left for us. (Notice who is eating it) Mmmm...mmm...good! Well life since Amanda left is a little sad. We had such a great visit it was hard to see her go. Although we decided over a bottle of red wine that Grace and I are flying out to see her in Grand Junction. That should be a flight to write about.

Thai anyone?

Well I don't care what anyone says Amanda can cook! She wooped up some Thai food for the Stevenson family and a night off of cooking for me. Love that! And doesn' t she look good doing it! In her pretty green smock. I wish I would have included a picture of Amanda's Pecan Pie she made..or should I burnt. Okay...we have chosen to call it Amanda's Caramalized Colorado Pecan Pie. Neal likes to use the word shellac. Delish!
What a great time we have had with Amanda visiting. I have tried to talk her in to working full time for us as Nanny Amanda but alas she must go to school. I also want to thank Ma King for lending her daughter. I promise you I have fed her well! Pie for breakfast....truffles for snacks.
I must run but take care and Merry Christmas!

Hippie Chic

Well this is one of the cutest pictures of Grace so I had to share. Her new dress has been dubbed "Hippie Chic". I have to say that one of the best things about being a Mom to a little girl is dressing her up! I am pretty sure she gets tired of it by the sixth outfit change of the day. But she can't talk yet and until she can say, "No! I am not wearing that!", I will play dress up!
Neal and I enjoyed a night out last night while Molly baby sat for us. I have to say it was strange not having Grace with us. I kept thinking I left her somewhere...maybe that was the second Crown and Ginger I had at dinner. Talk to you soon.

Cold as **@#!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so someone please tell me where I live again! Because there is no way that it is Rock Hill. It is 25 degrees and 19 with the wind chill. If I wanted to live in this kind of weather we mine as well pack up and move in with Amanda! This is a picture of all the ice on the trees. You are probably wondering why it is all blurry. Well that is because when I stuck my head out the front door to take this picture I yelled, "It is cold as **@#!!!!!!!!!!!!" Apparently I was still taking the picture as I turned to get back in the house. I am just not made for this type of weather. So does anyone have a vaction home in Florida we can visit?!

Life is good and so are sweet potatoes...

Now that Grace is eating baby food I love to have her try new kinds. Well today it was sweet potatoes and she ate them with a vengenance I didn't know babies had. Sweet poatoes are vegetables right? So far she is not a picky eater but then again I haven't tried green beans or anything else green for tht matter. Anywho....Neal and I's first night out together since Grace has been born is soon approaching. We are actually going to get a babysitter. I'll let you all know if I survive dinner without calling 100 times. Love to all!

My first blog

Well this is my first blog. I have to thank Amanda for showing this Despeate Housewife what the hell a blog is! Now that I am officially a stay at home Mom my life has been an adventure I never saw myself taking. And what an adeventure it is! Grace is now 5 months old and already knows how to get what she wants. Some would say she gets this from her mother but I beg to differ! Please post your thoughts and advice as I start my new life as a "Desperate House Wife". Trust me I need all the help I can get (in more ways than one!). Love to all!
