Pool, pool and more pool...
Well we spent another wonderful day at the pool. This time daddy joined us! Trish and her kids were there too and there was fun had by all! After all the fun in the sun it was out to dinner with pizza. Let me tell getting pizza at a public place with 4 kids under the age of four is interesting. Luckily they served adult beverages and the wine helped! Grace told Trish over and over at dinner how much she loved her and then proceeded to play peekabo over the booth with Andy. I love that our kids are growing up together and having so much fun doing it!

We are heading to the mountains today for the weekend. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Christmas in July...
I know it has been a while since I posted but things have been more than busy. The month of July came and went with a blast. We spent July 4th in Greenville. We went to a barbeque July is the month of birthday's! It started with Grace's on the 11th which we celebrated with a trip to Chucky Cheese per Grace's request. Molly and her nephew Adrian joined us and fun was had by all! Her party was not planned until the 20th for scheduling purposes.

That's three fingers for 3 years old!

So next it was my turn for a birthday on the 15th. Which I celebrated with an overnight trip to Ballantyne Resort and Spa with Fran and Molly. Did I mention Fran's birthday is the 18th? We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the golf course.

I enjoyed a hour massage at the spa and then met the girls on the terrace for drinks. Ahhh....martini straight up, dirty with three olives...then it was off to dinner at the resort. Great wine, great food but best of all great company.

The crowning glory...creme brulee...I had to take a bite before I took the picture
The next day it was back to reality and time to throw Grace's 3rd birthday party! We had the party in our new and improved backyard!!!!

We have also been to the mountains a lot and the past couple of weeks we have been at the YMCA pool. And let me say the pools have come a long way since I was kid. Now they are virtual waterparks complete with slides, water guns and fountains! Amazing!
Trish's little girl Katie
Camp, Grace and AndyWe also made it to Charleston for Mary Bennett's Dedication at church. It was also the perfect opportunity to see Hap and Courtney's new house. It is really beautiful. Grace had a hard time keeping quiet during the ceremony and after Mary Bennett's comes back to the pew Grace says (really loud) "Is it my turn?" Classic. Shortly after Neal escorted Grace out of the sanctuary and onto the streets of downtown Charleston and I finished the rest of the service. There was a big lunch afterward at their house and we had a great visit. Then it was on the road again and back to Rock Hill.

Other than that we are enjoying the last couple of weeks of summer before Grace starts at St. John's three days a week. My little preschooler! Although the summer isn't officially over until after the annual Edisto trip coming in September and then a trip to Colorado for Amanda's wedding!

A quick post before we're off again...

We did lots including birthday parties, trips to the zoo, downtown Greenville and the Children's Fountain, hiking, picking blackberries and some good old relaxin. Here are some pics from our time.

In other great news, Fran is home again and is feeling the best she has in months. She should start chemo around the first of August. The good thoughts are working, keep them coming.
