Christmas in July...

I know it has been a while since I posted but things have been more than busy. The month of July came and went with a blast. We spent July 4th in Greenville. We went to a barbeque July is the month of birthday's! It started with Grace's on the 11th which we celebrated with a trip to Chucky Cheese per Grace's request. Molly and her nephew Adrian joined us and fun was had by all! Her party was not planned until the 20th for scheduling purposes.

That's three fingers for 3 years old!

So next it was my turn for a birthday on the 15th. Which I celebrated with an overnight trip to Ballantyne Resort and Spa with Fran and Molly. Did I mention Fran's birthday is the 18th? We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the golf course.
I enjoyed a hour massage at the spa and then met the girls on the terrace for drinks. Ahhh....martini straight up, dirty with three olives...then it was off to dinner at the resort. Great wine, great food but best of all great company.

The crowning glory...creme brulee...I had to take a bite before I took the picture

The next day it was back to reality and time to throw Grace's 3rd birthday party! We had the party in our new and improved backyard!!!!

We have also been to the mountains a lot and the past couple of weeks we have been at the YMCA pool. And let me say the pools have come a long way since I was kid. Now they are virtual waterparks complete with slides, water guns and fountains! Amazing!

We also made it to Charleston for Mary Bennett's Dedication at church. It was also the perfect opportunity to see Hap and Courtney's new house. It is really beautiful. Grace had a hard time keeping quiet during the ceremony and after Mary Bennett's comes back to the pew Grace says (really loud) "Is it my turn?" Classic. Shortly after Neal escorted Grace out of the sanctuary and onto the streets of downtown Charleston and I finished the rest of the service. There was a big lunch afterward at their house and we had a great visit. Then it was on the road again and back to Rock Hill.

Other than that we are enjoying the last couple of weeks of summer before Grace starts at St. John's three days a week. My little preschooler! Although the summer isn't officially over until after the annual Edisto trip coming in September and then a trip to Colorado for Amanda's wedding!
