Well Neal's first Father's Day was great. He got shorts from Mommy and a Grace gave him her first art project. Grace and I made a mold of her footprint in plaster of paris. I swear the smell of that stuff took me way back. It reminded me of 5th grade art class in Mr. Wingo's class. It is amazing what smells remind you of. Grace and Daddy spent some quality time together listening to records. She loves to sit on his lap and dance (especially to bluegrass). She really is our child isn't she?!
I have to say there is something extra special about dads. My father is the first man I gave my heart to and he showed me what a great man is. Dad's don't seem to judge or worry about the little things Moms worry about. They just love you for who and what you are. My dad has always been so accepting of me and my biggest fan even in bad decisions. I hope that is what Neal can be for Grace...her biggest fan.
So Neal sent me flowers on Saturday...aren' they beautiful?

He couldn't forget Grace so he sent her a single rose...what a great dad and husband
