So Grace turned 2 yesterday! It is so hard for us to believe that our little baby is now a little girl. We had her party last Saturday and had planned it to be an outside party like last year but the Mother Nature had another plan. It rained really hard for the first part of the party so we had presents and cake inside. Then the sun came out and the kids beat down the door to play in Grace's new pool.
She got lots of new toys, including a Dora big wheel, her own table and chairs, stickers, art supplies and much much more. I decided to hide some toys away and give them to her on occasion. Otherwise she becomes a little overwhelmed and dosen't really play with any of them.

Gramma Joan really outdid herself with the cake this year. No she didn't make it...but I hate to think what she paid for it! The lady who made Neal and I's wedding cake made this. GORGEOUS!!!!!
The kids had a great time playing outside with all the new toys. Including the bubble machine that Camp and Andy gave her. Camp was showing her how it works .

This child only knows one way down and that is face first. She is definitely the kid who wants to go first and really show the other kids how its done.

See it's working...I see an arranged marraige in the future for Camp and Grace.

Sweet boy...
In other news Grace took a nasty fall on Tuesday. Smack in to the corner of the coffee table. Square between her eyes. If you could have heard how loud it was when she hit you would thought it was a car driving into a wall. Yes we freaked out and threw her in the car to go to the doctor. No broken bones, thank God. Just waking her up every threee hours that night to make sure she didn't have a concussion. Sweet jesus. Here is a picture. Poor baby!
This picture really dosen't do it justice. Neal thinks she looks like that character off Star Trek. Quite frankly he is worried her eyes are crossed. I told him if they are we just have to drive her to the farm and get her kicked by a horse and that should straighten them back out.
Since it has been a while since I wrote there is some other news, plane ticket booked! Yes that's right Molly, Fran and I are flying to Aspen to see Amanda and some great bands at the Aspen Snowmass Jazz Festival. I foresee trouble.....

trouble. oh that reminds me, I'll bring bail money.
he he
Oh hell. I don't have that kind of money in the bank!
I think you should get Grace the face mask that basketball players wear when they have a broken nose. Mom, of course, will beg to have you bring her to the farm to have her eyes kicked straight. She's crazy like that.
A unicorn! Grace is telling you that she wants a unicorn. "You know Mama.......it looks like THIS"! Can't help her eyes straighten out though. We don't have any kickers here at the farm. The party looks wonderful and that pool extravaganza is something else. Wish we could have been there. Next year......
Joe is worried about you 4 in Colorado though. Mumbled something about "naked swimmers, fountains, midgets and bail money" as he was pacing around the kitchen. That was right before he started talking about "homeland security". Poor guy hasn't been the same since that last batch of anesthesia. I just want to see pictures. I think........
OMG! That cake is soo great! Happy late BDay, Grace!
